Mercedes-Benz - Super Bowl Ad 2011

A lot of advertising these days have celebrities to endorse more popularity and draw to a bigger audience. For the Ad I chose - Mercedes-Benz for the Super Bowl 2011- the singer Puff Daddy was present.

Mercedes-Benz’s 60 second spot designed to celebrate its 125th anniversary with a launched of 4 new models. It’s the first time that the company has ever advertised during a Super Bowl. In this ad, Mercedes-Benz shows some of the old models and current models, which are escaping from their homes (so to speak) to come see and welcome these new models to the “family”.

As you can clearly see, it’s almost futuristic and you can see the transition from the past to the future. There’s also a build up of emotion throughout the ad, the music keeps getting more and more dramatic until it reaches it’s climax. It almost gives the viewer goosebumps while watching it.

The target market for this as is definitely for car lovers and because it was first aired at a Super Bowl spot, football fans as well.
